“Welcome to the Trusted Enterprise”
This past September, Salesforce had its annual Dreamforce conference. I was able to join their live sessions via Salesforce+ and let me say that I was shocked at how big it was. It was so big that I felt the need to write 3 different blogs focusing on each day. So here’s day 1.
Marc Benioff, Salesforce CEO, started with his keynote speech where he started by talking about the crisis of trust and how Salesforce isn’t just a business, but an economy of trust. So Salesforce has developed a playbook for the “Trusted Enterprise” which is composed by 5 pillars:
- Trust
- Customer- first
- Digital Headquarters
- Health and Safety
- Sustainability
One of the key topics in this year’s Dreamforce is the acquisition of Slack, so Stewart Butterfield, Slack’s CEO, gave his keynote focusing on new product innovations and how some customers like IBM are using this powerful tool that can allow an organization to be more agile and move quickly. Slack unveiled some new features like clips, which provide a way for people to capture videos inside Slack and share them in every channel, another cool feature shown was Slack Connect, which lets you meet people outside your organization.
As in any big tech conference, famous stars were present, as Dreamforce opened with a great concert by Metallica, followed by an engaging performance by Lionel Richie and day 1 ended with a Foo Fighters concert.
And that was the recap for Day 1.
