Dreamforce’21 Day 3

One of the most expected discussions for the last day on Dreamforce was the one between Marc Benioff and CEO and Founder of Zoom, Eric Yuan. These two powerhouse CEOs talked about their companies’ core values, which, for Yuan, was “Care”. He mentioned that the most important way to have customers trust in a company is to first care for them, listen to them and hearing their pain points.

The next discussion on center stage, was between CEO of Slack, Stewart Butterfield and CEO of PagerDuty, Jennifer Tejada. They talked about how the “Future of Work is Digital-First”. Both agreed that Digital Headquarters will become more and more important than traditional ones and that will bring a more inclusive culture as well. They also discussed about the importance that some technology, like Slack, has helped companies to connect to their teams, customers and systems in one single space. During this presentation, they shared two new features that Slack created with the objective of bringing people together in the company and preventing fraud: Clips and Slack Connect. Clips is a feature that lets people send small video recordings in-app to colleagues or customers; and Slack Connect lets you work with people outside your company in Slack.

One of the main topics that was discussed during the 3 day event was Sustainability. Suzanne DiBianza, Salesforce’s Chief Impact Officer, talked about all the efforts that Salesforce is making to have a more sustainable future and how the company acchieved NetZero emissions and 100% renewable energy. Marc Benioff also presented Slack-First Sustainability which is a tool that can be used for better collaboration with customers and industry specific climate action plans.

That was it for Day 3.

I’ll be back in December for Dreamforce New York!
